What exactly is an IBCLC?

International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) are specially trained to international standards in assisting breastfeeding families. The US Surgeon General considers this the gold standard of lactation training. IBCLCs hold the highest certification and the only internationally recognized credential in the field of lactation.
