Prenatal Consults
Personalized education prior to delivery
Meeting with a lactation consultant before you give birth is a great way to create your breastfeeding plan, tailored to you and your history, ahead of delivery day. This way you'll be able to take in all the information before you're sleep-deprived, with a newborn at your side. Knowing what to do will help you start your breastfeeding journey on the right note and prepare you for long-term success.
Postpartum Consults
birth - weaning
When you schedule an appointment with one of the IBCLCs at Little Loves, we can assist with breastfeeding issues, or simply provide you with reassurance and answer any questions you may have. Each Lactation Consultant comes equipped with the most sensitive of baby scales to ensure an accurate weight, along with an accurate reading of how much milk your baby is transferring.
Postpartum Follow-up
Consults
Following initial visit - weaning
Follow up visits are often necessary to ensure that goals are met and that your baby continues to gain weight well. These visits may include continuing to ensure the current plan is sufficient, or addressing new issues that have developed. Sometimes follow-up visits are simply when a family needs a little reassurance. No matter the reason, we are available to provide consistent, continuity of care when it is needed most.
Virtual Consults
prenatal - weaning
Virtual appointments are a great way to prepare to breastfeed or get help postpartum without having someone come to you. If you do not have availability in your area for someone to come to your home, you are still able to get the help you need. We do encourage you to have someone to hold your phone or a tripod to set up while you are having the consult. We offer virtual initial and/or follow-up consults.
Phone Consults
prenatal - weaning
Phone consults are a great way to get quick advice from a Lactation Consultant regarding your particular situation. This does not take the place of a full consult, but allows you to speak with a Lactation Consultant regarding questions/concerns prior to scheduling a visit. Depending on your scenario, we may recommend you schedule a virtual or in-person consult to better assist you.
Our Prices
We believe that every family should have access to breastfeeding support. Unfortunately, not all insurance companies provide coverage through The Lactation Network or Wildflower. In the event that yours doesn't, we do offer self pay prices. Investing in professional care that is tailored to you and your baby's needs is a worthwhile investment.

Why invest in breastfeeding support?
Health benefits for your baby
Breastfeeding reduces the risk of infections, reducing healthcare costs and the need for working moms to miss work. It also aids in cognitive development and reduces the risk of asthma, diabetes, obesity and SIDS.
Health benefits for mom
Breastfeeding lowers the risk of breast and ovarian cancer, type 2 Diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
Economical impact
The cost of a few cans of formula surpasses the cost of a visit with an IBCLC.
Bonding
Breastfeeding enhances maternal-infant bonding, which is essential for emotional development.
